Sunflowers!

So we went on an outing Saturday in search of Sunflowers.  The first place we went was a bust...  The sunflowers were already spent and were nothing but brown heads on stems.  So we drove to the second place.

(Suzanne, we found these on Hwy 24 northeast of Lawrence.  The ones in the newspaper article you told me about.  Thank you!)

So, here are a few of the shots we got.  I'll share more later this week. :)

Happy Monday everyone!

Much Love,

Tiffany

Ohhh. . . so pretty. I never tire of a field of sunflowers, or photos of those fields of sunflowers.

Yeah!! They're still there :) Someone at work had told me about the sunflower field outside of Lawrence - I wanted to go this weekend, but didn't know if it was too late.

Thank you all!

Kate, the field we went to is between Tonganoxie and Lawrence on Hwy 24/40. You can't miss it! It's about 5-6 miles east of Lawrence. The farmer had part of the field flooded and ruined earlier in the summer, so he re-planted some of it. The flowers are in various stages of development all in the same field. :)
