Night Vision

Today's theme on Friday My Town Shoot-Out is "Night or Dusk Shots".  I know I've got some of those!  I've been trying to get more - I'm especially intrigued with trying to get some cool movement in the shots with cars passing or people walking.  I'm going to keep working on that!

In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites.  Some are from last summer and a couple are more recent...

Oh I like your night shots. The last one is very impressive. I don't get out much after dark so haven't got much chance to practice night photos.

Impressive work. I like the self portrait and can imagine the running back and forth and experimenting with light and pose. And, of course, that last one with the lighting is absolutely incredible.

very nice. I like the first and the 3rd. in your first shot it looks like the mountain is smoldering at the base. I was told once that if you have a nice camera you can, of course, take nice photos - but that is just not so, nature might give us the oportunity for a good photo but it takes the eye of the photographer to recignize it. very nice job.

Thank you all for the lovely comments! They mean so much to me.

Yes, Bagman, I did run back and forth several times for the silhouette shot. The first try had my head right in the middle of the land. I had to lower my tripod to make it half as tall and point the camera up a little. It was a fun experiment.
