Lines....

Friday My Town Shootout

This week's theme from Friday My Town Shoot Out is "Lines and Stripes".  Well, I'm taking the idea of lines in a little different direction.

Here are a couple of types of lines that I fight in my town.

First of all, the bane of my photography endevors from home.... the power lines right outside.  They are on the corner of our property and nearly all the shots I take (except the lightening that's to the east) have silly power lines running through them!  UGH!!  I curse these things at least once a week.... although I shouldn't.  They bring me electricity and internet so that I can connect to all of you and learn more about photography...

I guess you get the good with the bad.

Here's another line I run into nearly every day.  It's my favorite drink stop.  (Diet Dr. Pepper, please!  Sometimes I'll get really crazy and add lime... YUM!)  It's a line I'm willing to deal with, and they usually keep it moving pretty quickly.  :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Tiffany

Electrical lines like these are not something we see regularly here, almost all have gone hiding underground!

I have the same problem with power lines in front and back of my house. They are such a pain!
I have a real aversion to lines such as your second one, too. But it's a great photo!!

My birds like the electric lines.

This is the first time I am visiting you at FSO. Welcome.

I agree with you on the power lines, I hate them in my shots also. I try to avoid them. then I will see some places that don't have them....... are they underground? like the line of cars.

thank you all for coming to see me! :) Glad to hear I'm not the only one with Powerline Aversion! The next time we buy a house, that's going to be something nearer the front of my mind when I'm looking!

Ann, Thank you for dropping by and for the welcome. I am enjoying the FSO, but struggling to find time. I'm hoping that keep up with it will help me be sure to take photos during the busy seasons of my life.

Good shots, and, yea, better to be far from those power lines.
