Boy Scouts' 9/11 Tribute

On Saturday morning, I went to the Capital building downtown.  A few local Boy Scout troops, by way of a generous local donation, purchased and donated American flags to fly around the Capital grounds on important national holidays.  There was a dedication ceremony, taps was played, and a small speech was given.

This flag was retired.  It had been flying at the capital building on the morning of September 11, 2001.  The responsibility for all the flags and posting them in the future was then turned over to the ROTC programs of several local High Schools.

Great photos. I'm sure it was a very touching ceremony.
