Focus Question....

OK, as I was testing my ISO - Shutter Speed, etc. before attempting to shoot fireworks the other night, I took several test shots that look like this.

Aperture	f/4.0
Focal Length	55 mm
ISO Speed	1600

Exposure was 0.3  (sorry!)

So can anyone tell me why the moon has a strange little reflection??  As nearly as I can tell, things seem to be focused.  I feel like I need my glasses on while I'm looking at the moon.

Any ideas???

NO FLASH!!

There have been several events I have been to recently where photography is frowned upon.  Mostly because the people around are trying to concentrate and the camera - and especially the flash - is distracting.

Here are some shots from a birthday party that involved a dart tournament.  I didn't have a tripod with me, so I used the table top to help me stabilize the camera.  Even so, I took MANY photos that didn't turn out.  Those that did, still aren't what I would like, but they have something about them that is appealing (at least to me.)

What do you think??

Night Vision

Today's theme on Friday My Town Shoot-Out is "Night or Dusk Shots".  I know I've got some of those!  I've been trying to get more - I'm especially intrigued with trying to get some cool movement in the shots with cars passing or people walking.  I'm going to keep working on that!
