FMTSO - Simplicity / Negative Space

As I read Doreen's post about Simplicity, I was reminded of the importance of negative space in a photo.  You know, the area of a shot that isn't the main focus.  There are many compelling shots out there with an excellent use of negative space.

They look so "simple", but they are by no means easy to create in an effective and emotional way!!

Here are my attempts at using negative space in a compelling way.  Not sure they are all the actual definition of negative space, but here goes!:

Also, for those of you who follow my blog regularly - the decision has been made!!  I have begun a photo blog for my Project.  I have decided to do a daily challenge for myself during the summer, and a weekly photo once the school year begins.  It seemed to be the most reasonable idea for me.  Please visit my new site Tiffany in Topeka!  I hope you enjoy it!  :)

Happy Friday!  Be sure to check out everyone's Simplicity posts here:

Friday My Town Shootout

Much Love,

Tiffany
